“After trying many commercial services, I regret not finding Akita sooner! We initially had our house treated for wasps and when they didn’t go away, Akita came back out without a question to make sure we were satisfied. This experience was so good we decided to do quarterly insect treatments with them. All communication regarding this process and service visits has been beyond great and very professional. I wish we would’ve found them sooner!”

How Much Does Wasp Control Cost?
Our wasp control services start at $255 for a complete indoor and outdoor treatment of your home. Follow up treatments after the initial service, if needed, are billed at a lower rate.

How We Treat Wasps & Wasp Nests
Upon arrival, our pest control technician will consult with you about the location of the nest, and then get started by knocking down any activity around the nest.
Once activity dies down, the technician will treat the nest with a liquid or powder, and then remove the nest and further treat the area with a substance that prevents the wasps from returning.
The technician will finish by inspecting the remainder of your property to check for other nests you may not know are there.
Wasp or Hornet Nest in Your Walls? We Can Help!
Sometimes, wasps decide to make their home inside of yours. Akita Pest Control now offers in-wall wasp nest removal to properly remove wasp colonies within your home’s structure. It’s important to remove even dead nests, as they can attract secondary pests like beetles, silverfish, ants, and flies, and can lead to moisture issues or mold.
This service begins at a starting price of $350. To provide an accurate quote, we require an in-person inspection or a video call to assess the extent of the infestation. Protect your home and family by scheduling an appointment with our wasp control experts today.

Wasp Nest Removal & Control FAQs
- Why do wasps sting?
-
Wasps generally sting for one reason: defense. They are fiercely protective of their colonies and will attack if they feel threatened or provoked. This is why DIY wasp nest removal is so dangerous.
- How many times can a wasp sting?
-
Unlike honeybees, which can only sting once before dying, wasps (including yellowjackets and hornets) can sting repeatedly. They do not lose their stingers during an attack. This capability makes a swarm particularly dangerous, as a single insect can inflict multiple painful stings in seconds.
- I am allergic (or terrified) of wasps. What should I do until you arrive?
-
Your safety is the priority. Please stay indoors and keep windows and doors closed near the activity. Do not try to inspect the nest or spray it with store-bought products, as this often provokes them. We are on our way and will handle the danger so you don’t have to.
- Do you physically remove the wasp nest?
-
In most cases, yes. If the nest is accessible and visible (like under an eave), we will treat it to neutralize the colony and then perform wasp nest removal. If the nest is located deep inside a wall void or underground, we treat the entry point to eliminate the colony from the inside out.
- Do I need to leave my house during the service?
-
Usually, you can stay inside the comfort of your home while we work on the exterior. If the nest is inside (like in an attic or crawlspace), we may ask you to vacate that specific area of the house for a short time.
- What do I need to do to prepare?
-
Very little! Please ensure we have unlocked access to the backyard or the area where the nest is located. If you have pets, please keep them inside. If you know exactly where the nest is, pointing it out to us (from a safe distance) helps us get to work immediately.
- How long does the service take?
-
Most wasp nest removal services are quick, often taking less than an hour. We know you want the problem solved fast, so we work efficiently to restore peace to your yard.
- Will the wasps come back after you leave?
-
Once a nest is effectively treated, that specific colony will not survive. However, wasps are territorial. If you have a high population of insects on your property, we can recommend preventative plans to keep them from building new nests in the future.
